Who says virtual learning can’t be fun?!

AhHa!Broadway understands that we are all facing the challenges of quarantine and social distancing right now. We miss you too and have developed our amazing virtual workshops just for you!

Spring Break Programming

Passport to Adventure

Celebrate music, dance, language, art & stories from around the world! A great foundation for appreciating the diverse cultures all around us. Each day we will learn how to say hello & goodbye in the language of the country we are studying, do an art project or learn a fable and of course there will be song & dance! A fun way to learn, explore and make new friends!

In-person, located in Midtown Manhattan. AhHa!Broadway is following CDC Covid Guidelines to ensure the safety of our students. As they may change over time, feel free to contact us to clarify the current requirements we are following.

Spring Break Camp will be located in the Times Square area near most subways. We will be notifying all participants of exact details and pertinent information next week after registration is completed (registration closes April 10th).
The venue will be established indoor rehearsal space. An example of one we have used previously is Ripley Grier. Once we know the exact number of participants, we will have the specific details for families.

AhHa!Broadway 1940’s Radio Hour For Kids

Return to the Era of Yesteryear and tune into a fun-filled recreation of a 1940’s radio show! Students will take part in every aspect of recreating these fun-filled episodes, including sound effects, dramatic voiceovers, jingles and commercials. The Fabulous Forties will be introduced to your child through scripts and music transcribed from the original broadcast recordings. These virtual classes will be held over three days, in two-hour sessions — with a final performance the whole family can enjoy!

No memorization required!

Educational and Unique! (click here to expand for details)

Your child will learn about the music, fashion, radio and pop culture of the Fabulous Forties and how it still influences our lives today.

The students will learn how to collaborate with each other to produce a ‘radio show’. Learning how to use your voice is a fundamental building block of performing. This program focuses on strengthening their diction, acting and singing skills! Students will learn how to shine as a performer even when a physical stage isn’t present.

Fun scripts, commercials and jingles! (click here to expand for details)

– Old-time radio ads and jingles for products like Bromo-Seltzer and Jell-O!

Classic 1940’s Radio Episodes from Authentic Scripts Such As:

– The Bickersons (great two-person comedy)

– It Pays To Be Ignorant (entertaining variety hour)

– The Shadow (classic drama)

– Ellery Queen The Armchair Detective Mystery Minute (fun for everyone)

Costumes! (click here to expand for details)

We will discuss period costumes that students can easily put together at home from items they already have, and will help create a performance day ensemble to be worn for the virtual performance.

Popular music of the 40’s! (click here to expand for details)

We will provide lyrics and teach popular songs of the 40’s to be performed the day of our virtual performance. The songs will be a part of the Radio Hour, brought to you by AhHa!Broadway!

($195 per participant – More dates to come later this year)

Program culminates in a virtual performance (invited guests) TBA

If you have any issues with registration we’re here to help.
