AhHa!Broadway had a great time volunteering our Puppet Play Workshop for families and schools at the Family Fun Day event sponsored by Council Member James F. Gennaro and the NY Parks Dept 6/20/25!

At AhHa!Broadway, we believe that “Learn, Perform, Believe” are not just words, but the keys to a better future for those we serve. Through our initiatives, we strive to turn the “impossible” into the “I’m Possible.” This approach is more than just an educational program; it’s a movement that fosters creativity, community, and opportunity for under-resourced children, veterans, seniors, and neurodivergent adults. Empowering the Next Generation Through Musical Theatre Education AhHa!Broadway is dedicated to shaping the next generation of artists, leaders, and thinkers by offering an inclusive environment for children to explore the world of musical theatre. Our educational programs are designed to engage young minds in the art of storytelling, creative expression, and teamwork, all while reinforcing critical skills such as problem-solving, collaboration, and self-confidence. These elements are essential not only in theatre but in life. For children, performing arts education goes beyond creating accomplished performers—it shapes well-rounded individuals who are prepared to tackle challenges, think outside the box, and approach life with resilience and imagination. Serving Veterans and Seniors: A Vital Connection to Community At AhHa!Broadway, we recognize the profound impact that the arts can have on veterans and seniors. Our programs for these groups are designed to boost self-confidence, foster self-expression, and provide a sense of belonging. Through activities such as dance, acting, and comedy writing, veterans and seniors can reconnect with their creative selves, while forming supportive communities that combat isolation and encourage personal growth. The mental and emotional benefits of engaging in performing arts are significant for seniors and veterans. The arts stimulate cognitive function, promote social interaction, and provide a healthy outlet for expression, making it an essential tool for maintaining mental well-being. Additionally, for veterans, participation in the arts can help foster camaraderie and give them a platform to share their stories, connecting with others who may share similar experiences. Inclusivity for Neurodivergent Adults AhHa!Broadway is proud to offer specialized programming for neurodivergent adults. Our comedy writing workshops, music, and dance classes provide a creative space where participants can express themselves without judgment. Building Strong, Empowered Women in Theatre and Leadership As a women-led organization, AhHa!Broadway is committed to empowering young girls and women by giving them the tools and support they need to succeed. We understand the importance of representation and leadership, and our programs are designed to help girls build confidence, develop leadership skills, and pursue careers in the performing arts and beyond. One of our flagship initiatives is the “Girls Who Direct” program, which will launch in 2025. This academy-style workshop series invites teenage girls from underserved communities to immerse themselves in the world of theatre directing. Through mentorship from experienced women theatre professionals and business leaders, participants learn essential skills such as creative vision, leadership, communication, and problem-solving. The program culminates in a live performance, where the girls take the reins as directors, making decisions about casting, staging, and storytelling. This hands-on experience provides invaluable leadership training that extends far beyond the stage, empowering young women to pursue careers in both theatre and leadership roles in other fields. Fostering Inclusivity Through Accessible Programs AhHa!Broadway’s commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is reflected in the wide range of programs we offer.
